A Message to TONY FROM VTC…
With a tear in our eye but joy in our hearts, we wave farewell to Mr. Tony Brinson as he begins his well-deserved retirement.
In his 16+ years of service to Virginia Transportation Corporation, Mr. Brinson has been a loyal, caring, hard-working, incredibly influential, and endearing member of our team. Most everyone who knows and has worked with Tony came to love him for his sense of humor, his compassionate nature, his can-do attitude, his absolute care for and loyalty to the people he worked with, his round-the-clock dedication to listening to and helping those in need… there are just too many things to list.
We cannot thank Mr. Brinson enough for his contribution to the growth and evolution of VTC, for the experiences we shared with him that made us all better employees and human beings, and for his friendship. Let there be “no doubt in his military mind” how much we will miss him, and we hope to get regular updates on fishing conditions in the general Mid-Atlantic area.
Smooth sailing Mr. Brinson… we’ll look forward to you paying us the occasional visit (hint, hint!).
A Message to VTC FROM TONY…
Hello VTC Family,
You probably heard that I am retiring. I want to officially announce that effective immediately I will no longer be in my “mobile office”. Instead, I will be enjoying my time with family and friends. I’m also looking forward to sleeping late, attacking my “honey-do” list, and doing some traveling with my wife. I promised her years ago and now work isn’t an excuse I can use anymore.
Looking back on my career, I am thankful for the experience of working at Virginia Transportation and grateful for the opportunities that Mr. Doire afforded me to share my years of experience with the next generation of Auto Haulers. I’m also thankful that I was able to work alongside so many supportive, motivational, and positive colleagues. All of you have made such a positive impact on my life over the years and I’d like to give a warm, thank you. You all have made my 16 years at VTC seem like much more than just a job.
While I am leaving the company, I am taking your friendships with me. I would like to stay in touch so feel free to reach out to me to chat or if you want some industry advice.
Last and most importantly not least, I wish you all well in your future endeavors, both personally and professionally.
